Thomas Gabriel ( Grandson of Johnny Cash )
StartMar 28
EndMar 28
T.G. - as those closest to him call him - is the oldest grandchild of Johnny Cash. Predominately raised on the road, he often dreamed of a life as a successful career musician. When he was young, his grandfather would call him onstage, to sing “When the Saints Go Marching In. At 21, he was in the studio trying out his voice. Johnny would say, “Son, you sound a lot like I did when I was younger; work on those vocals.”Johnny also insisted that T.G. have a back-up option, so he went to the police academy, and into police work.Life and adversity has kept him from pursuing his dreams, but he has regained control over his life, and is back in the world that holds so much potential for him.Along with his voice that sounds so much like his grandfather’s, he brings a wealth of stories from his memories of his childhood and of growing up a member of such an iconic family. This is an extremely intimate venue and tickets will be limited. https://www.forbes.com/sites/pamwindsor/2018/11/21/johnny-cashs-grandson-thomas-gabriel-comes-full-circle/?fbclid=IwAR2xpe25UgzDwMuSYvvJP-vtYsvl2FI5WQ5_WQ1dC-CWozbVCJEeoAIgEo0#4d3e2dbb4f13

Project Helping volunteers will help manage landscape and habitat restoration projects around the Butterfly Pavilion and the Denver metro area.  WHAT WILL WE BE DOING? Help Butterfly Pavilion volunteers pick up litter along Westminster Blvd. Thank you for volunteering to help keep the City of Westminster beautiful! As space is limited, make sure to register before participating in this great event!  FAQs Why volunteer? Through the act of volunteering, you are actively investing in your community while also improving your mental wellness! Volunteering is proven to have numerous health benefits including improved mood, feeling healthier, increased sense of purpose and reducing stress levels. Volunteering can also give us a deep sense of happiness, both immediately and long-term. * 94% of people who volunteer say that volunteering improves their mood. * 96% of people who volunteer say that volunteering enriches their sense of purpose. This is just some of the science that supports our mission and outlines why it’s so beneficial to do good things for others. We call that practicing kyndfulness. #BeKyndBeWell Does this event require special skills? There are no specific skills needed for this event. We do consider willingness to help others a very special skill, but you’re reading this, so you already have that one! Are there age requirements for volunteering? This is a Project Helping Kyndfulness for Kids Event, meaning kids are welcome! We just ask that volunteers under 16 be accompanied by a parent or guardian. ALL THE DETAILS: Where to meet and park? What to wear and bring? What is the agenda for the day? Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email with all the details. We’ll also send a reminder email and a text a few days before the event! To make sure you get the emails, please add Project Helping (volunteer@projecthelping.org) to your contacts. More Questions?
